EFFECTIVE PREACHING WORKSHOP!
This is a friendly reminder that Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will be hosting an Effective Preaching Workshop from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Riley Center on campus. The focus of the workshop will be 2 Corinthians. Participants will leave with a preaching plan of the book and tools that will help them preach effective text-driven sermons from 2 Corinthians. More details about the Effective Preaching Workshop will be posted in the coming weeks.
Workshop Speakers:
Clay Smith
Clay Smith serves as the Senior Pastor of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from SWBTS, and he is a PhD candidate in preaching at SWBTS.
Andre’ A. Kirkland
Andre’ A. Kirkland serves as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degree from SWBTS. He is also a PhD student in Practical Theology at Mid-America Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Christopher Osborne
Dr. Christopher Osborne serves as Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministry at SWBTS. Prior to joining the seminary faculty he served as the Senior Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Bryan/College Station, Texas for 33 years.
Dr. Keith Collier
Dr. Keith Collier serves as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Groesbeck, Texas. He holds a Master of Divinity and a PhD degree in preaching from SWBTS.
Dr. Matthew McKellar
Dr. Matthew McKellar serves as Professor of Preaching at SWBTS.
